'Tis The Season To Be a Fatty

December has been a wild month so far filled with one party after another, lots of work as a result of last-minute budget squeezing, late nights, and get-togethers.

As a result of this, I haven't really been able to exercise. I thought I would be disciplined this December (compared to every single year before this one when I'd eat like there was no tomorrow), but no. I've been a bad, unhealthy girl.

Instead, I've been munching, munching, and munching — both as a result of stress/late nights as well as the merriment of the season.

Photo nicked from this page.

I can feel my pants tightening; neither am I as confident to do the tuck in look as I used to be a few weeks back. Hello again to loose/big tops.

It doesn't help that I've also been giving friends and officemates food as Christmas gifts.

Here's sneak peek of what my officemates and I gave each other. Hello, calories; goodbye to everything I lost and burned from running and Nike Training Club.

Tomorrow, the 20th, will be my last day of work for the year. I vow to myself to cut back on the carbs and calories starting the 21st and watch my intake over the Holidays. Also, I plan to pick up running and strength training again so I don't look and feel gross come January.

Now I know why Santa is a round fellow.

  1. Haha! I know the feeling. I've been trying my hand at baking and all I do is eat cookies for the past week. Good luck to all the pounds we'll gain after the holidays are over. :)

  2. Hey, Rose! How did you fare, holiday weight-wise? Haha! Sorry for replying so late. I kinda neglected my blog these last few weeks. :P

Thankfully, I managed to exercise regularly during the break so I maintained my pre-holiday weight. Whew! Hope you enjoyed spending time with loved ones over the Holidays! :)
