Life in the Fast Lane

A TRIATHLETE'S MULTISPORT ADVENTURES, TRAVELS, RANDOM MUSINGS, AND CHRONICLES OF HER OTHERWISE ORDINARY LIFE

I Freakin' Love this Day!

My February is made.

Pixar storyboard supervisor, Ronnie del Carmen (who was one of the geniuses behind Up, Wall-E, Ratatouille, and Finding Nemo, among other animation success stories), gave a talk in our office about the animation process. I was more than thrilled, more than inspired — especially because I’ve been a Disney kid since I was a fetus. Seriously.

He took the time to sign my Ratatouille DVD (unfortunately, our Up 4-disc set is with my cousin now), Dug storybook, and the tag of my Dug stuffed toy.

He even drew Dug for me! I’m flabbergasted!

Thank you, Mr. del Carmen, for giving me the most amazing belated birthday gift ever. You might come across this page one day and remember me as the girl who introduced herself by saying, “My siblings and I are the Disneyest, Pixarest family in this country!”

You have no idea how thrilled you’ve made me today — I’ve just met someone who became successful in the industry of my childhood dreams. I salute you.

  1. Super belated happy birthday, Tina! I left you a DM at Twitter the other day but I think you didn't get to read it.

I wish you all the happiness this world has to over :)

  2. Hey Mara! I didn't notice that this comment came in. (I think this is what I miss about LiveJournal -- getting email alerts whenever a new comment is made.) Thanks so much for the well wishes and lovely greeting. :) I appreciate it!
