Life in the Fast Lane

A TRIATHLETE'S MULTISPORT ADVENTURES, TRAVELS, RANDOM MUSINGS, AND CHRONICLES OF HER OTHERWISE ORDINARY LIFE

Rush Hour

Yesterday, I had to commute after work (a.k.a. make the 45-minute walk from my office to the train station, then take the train ‘til the Shangri-La mall, where I met my mom) and it was insane, as usual. It seemed like the whole of Metro Manila was jampacked inside the Ayala MRT Station. I normally don’t mind taking the trains (it’s fun on weekends ‘coz you can actually sit down and relax) but it’s always a hellish experience to do this during rush hour on weekdays.

Here’s a paparazzi shot from inside a moving train (that’s why the picture’s a bit blurry and there’s too much headroom). Note that all sense of personal space had to be thrown out the window; we were literally packed in the train like sardines to the point that you didn’t need to hold on to anything for balance anymore.

Photo taken with my old but loved iPhone 2G.
